| A First-in-Singapore partnership between Bit by Bit and the University of Cambridge. The Awards assessment is done in collaboration with the widely acclaimed Cambridge International Examinations, a department of University of Cambridge. Bit by Bit provides technology training and assessment that allows students ages 6 to 14 to earn Cambridge Certification in technology skills and applications. The certification skills and applications are defined and measured according to Cambridge student learning standards in word processing, spreadsheets, desktop publishing, graphics, multimedia, programming, and the Internet. The certification program, known as Cambridge ICT Starter Awards, provides a framework through which students can be assessed reliably against technology performance standards. These standards are set in an international context and ensure that children are being introduced to a range of applications and skills that they can build on in the future. Bit By Bit will provide students the learning experiences they need to meet and exceed the Cambridge certification standards. First Byte and Byte Modules are designed to provide a comprehensive coverage of the Awards qualification framework, equipping students with practical and fundamental ICT skills and knowledge. The aim is to enable children to gain mastery over InfoComm Technology in this digital age while fostering confident and adaptive leaders. The Award operates at three levels and are suitable for students in primary and secondary education. |
